This project stems from the urge to produce continuously and from the reflections that arise from that impulse. It takes the form of a deliberately absurd act, grounded in repetitive and ongoing labour. A series of works come together as an installation, embodying a practice that appears, at first glance, to be unproductive.

The newspaper is an industrial product that inevitably loses its original purpose after twenty-four hours. Likewise, the information it contains becomes repetitive over time, and what was once news turns into superficial content, stripped of both narrative and uniqueness. I use newspapers as raw material, subjecting them to a handcrafted recycling process. In doing so, I become the factory itself, adopting a method of production that alters the reproduction of each page. As the days pass, new newspapers accumulate, having lost their singularity and become homogeneous, neutral sheets that no longer allow their original content to be read, calling into question the value of the information they once carried.

The accumulation of every front page of the newspaper from 1 January to 31 December 2021 becomes a routine act with no clear purpose. The significance lies in the process of accumulation itself, driven by the desire to produce something, even without a defined outcome. Gradually, the front pages become obsolete, turning into the remnants of information that was once considered important. Together, they solidify into a single block: rubble transformed into rubble.

The accompanying video sequence reflects the unease of continually asking questions that do not always have clear answers. A mechanical and repetitive process. Writing and rewriting. Writing, erasing, and writing again. Questioning, and questioning once more.
