I am a visual and textile artist with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona.
My artistic practice lies between contemporary art and craft, and is rooted in manual gesture and processes of transforming textiles, handmade paper, plant fibres and other organic materials. I see these materials as carriers of memory, preserving traces of their origin, the passage of time and every stage of their transformation.
My practice is intuitive and open, guided by experimentation, care for materials and a more conscious approach to making. I am interested in exploring the relationship between the body, manual gesture and matter, allowing form to emerge through the dialogue between process, time and the inherent qualities of each material.
More recently, this research has expanded into the development of biomaterials as a way of exploring the expressive potential of matter through a more sustainable practice.
I have presented my work in both local and international exhibitions, developing projects connected to place and material research.
