Dietari: maig del 2024, Terrassa
I approach the act of walking through the city of Terrassa as an alternative to keeping a diary, tracing the shapes that emerge from the paths drawn by my daily movements. The work takes the form of a book made entirely of fabric, comprising thirty-one pages with the routes stitched day by day throughout the month of May. The book cover presents a map created from the accumulation of all these journeys.
As I walk through the city of Terrassa, I record my daily routes, which become fragmented shapes belonging to a single map, even though they correspond to different days. Everyday life turns into a puzzle whose individual pieces form part of a larger whole. I was interested in giving form to my daily actions through the paths I create as I move from one place to another.
