The project stems from the phenomenon of information overload, understood as the excess of information that characterises contemporary life and hinders our ability to process, retain and make sense of the constant stream of stimuli we receive.

The work takes the newspaper as its point of departure, while removing the very elements that give it meaning: text and image. The result is the representation of an absent newspaper—a hollow presence that alludes to the vast amount of information available to us, yet which we often fail to read, understand or remember.

The installation consists of seven steel plates reproducing the dimensions of seven consecutive newspaper front pages. By cutting away the areas occupied by the printed information, each piece becomes the trace of its original content, transforming the absence of information into matter and making visible what normally goes unnoticed.
